4 skinny margaritas to celebrate Cinco De Mayo

Cinco De Mayo celebration is as incomplete without a margarita as it would be without taco or salsa. But celebrating the day shouldn't mean tripling your calorie count and watching your fitness go for a toss. Try these 4 skinny margaritas to celebrate Mexican-style without feeling guilty.

Lime Cilantro Margarita

Honey is an excellent sweetener - it is healthy and doesn't load anything with empty calories. Blend together cilantro leaves, water, lime juice and honey. Pour this mixture over tequila. Top with crushed ice and serve!

Classic Margarita with a twist

Combine tequila, lime juice, roughly chopped lemon grass, and agave nectar in a shaker. Strain and serve over a glass of crushed ice.  Lemon grass is an excellent source of antioxidants and helps balance blood sugar levels too!

Watermelon Margarita

Combine salt, fresh mint sprigs, lime juice. Add fresh watermelon juice and blend till smooth. Strain and pour over a glass filled with crushed ice and tequila. Watermelon juice not only adds the desired sweetness to the margarita but is very refreshing, especially in summer months.

Mango Margarita

Another great rendition to the classic margarita is adding mango to it. The best summer fruit adds a punch and flavor to margarita and is a crowd pleaser. Instead of adding sugar in your classic margarita, add fresh mango pulp. Serve over crushed ice!
