I get ready to take on my first HYROX EVENT this year it is important with any new race or event to set real expectations, measuring what matters, and create an action plan.

As we embark on this journey towards our fitness goals, it is crucial to have a clear vision of what we want to achieve and set realistic expectations for ourselves. By setting real expectations, we prevent ourselves from feeling discouraged or overwhelmed, and instead, we can focus on making steady progress towards our goals.

Measuring what matters is essential in tracking our progress and staying motivated. It’s not just about counting the miles or the minutes spent training; it’s about monitoring our physical improvements, such as increased endurance, strength, and speed. These are the metrics that truly matter when preparing for a fitness race. By measuring these concrete indicators, we can see how far we’ve come and adjust our training as needed to keep progressing towards our ultimate goal. I love that I can measure every zone in HYROX through my Amazfit watch and app (iOS and Android).


Creating an action plan helps us have the guidance and accountability to progress safely and effectively. Without a clear plan of action, our efforts may lack direction and purpose. By outlining a detailed roadmap that includes our training schedule, nutrition plan, recovery strategies, and mental preparation, we can set ourselves up for success.
 
An action plan allows us to break down our larger goal into manageable steps, making it easier to stay on track and remain focused.
