In this guide, we’ll cover key practical usage scenarios, precautions, and step-by-step tips to help you make the most of your watch’s flashlight functions — including Boost Mode, Workout Safety Light, and SOS Mode.

Usage Scenarios:

Sports Activities
- Night Running: City lights don’t always cover every step — especially on trails or park edges. The T-Rex 3 Pro’s LED light illuminates up to 2 meters ahead, helping you spot obstacles and run with confidence.
- Evening Cycling: Whether you’re biking home at dusk or through shaded forest paths, the flashlight works as a handy fill light. Combined with reflective gear, it improves visibility and helps keep you safe in low-light conditions.
- Camping & Gear Packing: From setting up camp to digging through your backpack, the LED flashlight makes it easier to find what you need, read a map, or organize gear — no need to carry extra lighting equipment.

Everyday Life
- Finding Keys at Night: Coming home late or stepping into a dim garage? A single tap activates the flashlight, helping you quickly locate locks or items in your bag.
- Heading Upstairs to Bed: If you’ve already turned off the lights, a quick press lights your way without needing to flip switches or wake others.
- Getting Up at Night: Whether checking on a child or moving around the house, the flashlight provides just enough illumination — without the glare of overhead lights.


How to Use the Flashlight
Normal Lighting

Method 1

  • Press and hold the UP button on any screen to turn the flashlight on or off.
  • Once activated, quickly press UP or DOWN five times to switch between brightness levels or activate red light mode.
  •  You can also tap the flashlight icon at the top of the screen once it’s been activated.

 

Method 2
  • Open the control center and tap the flashlight icon to turn it on.
  • Press the UP/DOWN buttons to adjust brightness and color.
  • Press the BACK button to return, then tap the flashlight icon again to turn it off.

 

Boost Mode
Need extra brightness for a short burst? Try Boost Mode.
  • Turn on the flashlight, then press UP + BACK buttons simultaneously.
  • Brightness will increase to 300 lumens for up to 30 seconds.
  • Afterward, the light returns to normal and requires a 6-minute cooldown before reactivation.

Workout Safety Light

During night runs or bike rides, the watch’s LED flashlight can also function as a workout safety light, helping alert passing vehicles or pedestrians to your presence. This enhances visibility and safety during low-light workouts.
How to enable it:

  1. On the start screen of a workout mode that supports the safety light, tap Settings > Assistant > Safety Light.

  1. Tap Safety Light Status, and choose between "Enable" or "Turn On After Sunset" based on your preference.
(*Turn On After Sunset: The LED safety light will turn on automatically when you start a workout after sunset. Enable: The LED safety light will turn on whenever you start a workout.)

  1. Tap Light Mode to choose from Long Flash, Short Flash, or Gradient, or set a Custom mode.

  1. Tap Light Color to choose between White and Red.

  1. After completing any of the above settings, scroll down to find Preview and tap it to see the safety light effect.

SOS Mode
In emergencies, the LED flashlight doubles as an SOS signal.
  • Pull down the screen to open the Control Center.
  • Tap SOS to activate.
  • Adjust brightness and color using the UP/DOWN buttons.
  • Press SEL to turn it off once safe.

  • Recommended lighting range is 0.5 to 2 meters, ideal for daily use, night runs, and outdoor activities.
  • Prolonged use may increase battery consumption. For best results, limit usage to 15 minutes at a time or switch it on intermittently as needed.
  • Avoid staring directly into the LED light or shining it into others’ eyes, as it may cause discomfort or irritation — particularly for children.
  • If you are sensitive to strong light or have a history of photosensitivity (e.g., light-sensitive skin or eye conditions), use with caution or avoid activating the flashlight.
