Active Max October Update: HYROX Insights, Smarter Cycle Tracking, and More Connected Workouts
The latest software update for Amazfit Active Max brings meaningful improvements to your training analysis, cycle tracking, connected devices, and navigation. Together, these updates help you break down HYROX race performance station by station, understand your body more clearly, keep your Helio wearables, bike trainers, and music ready to go, and follow your routes with greater confidence.
HYROX Analysis: Understand Your Workout Station Performance
Get a closer look at your performance across HYROX’s eight workout stations with Active Max and Helio Strap Pro. Connect and wear Helio Strap Pro, then start a HYROX race or simulation on your watch. Depending on the station, you can record rep counts, stroke rates, and heart rate trends. After your workout, review station-specific analysis in the Zepp app to understand changes in your rhythm or heart rate and get training suggestions for your next race.
Cycle Tracking has been fully upgraded with a refreshed interface, an improved period prediction algorithm, and a new Check-in feature. Log your period dates, symptoms, moods, and lifestyle habits as you go, then use your historical records and cycle predictions to review changes in your body and understand your cycle patterns more clearly.
Indoor Cycling: Pair Your Bike Trainer
Indoor cycling now supports bike trainers and spin bikes that follow the FTMS protocol. Once connected, your watch displays data from the trainer — power, cadence, speed, and distance — so indoor sessions are measured as precisely as outdoor rides. You can also choose your units: on the distance calibration page, switch between metric and imperial.
Helio Strap and Helio Strap Pro: Better Together Pairing with Helio Strap and Helio Strap Pro has been optimized: your watch can now automatically pair with the strap linked to your Zepp account, so both come online together without extra setup. Status and controls for screenless devices are now shown on the watch, and support for Helio Strap and Helio Strap Pro has been improved, so Active Max and your Helio wearables work together more seamlessly throughout the day.
Training Library: Navigation Where You Train
Navigation now extends to your Training Library. Training templates, third-party training plans, Zepp coach plans, and interval training can all be run with route guidance on your wrist. Map rendering and zooming have been refined as well — clearer terrain and road styling, better data layering, and new route elevation visuals — so routes are easier to read at a glance.
Music: Playlists Managed in the App
You can now organize music and playlists in the Zepp App instead of digging through menus on the watch. Set up your tracks before a session and head out with the right playlist already loaded.
It records the number of movements, average pace, and heart rate trends for each station, then shows pace changes and training suggestions per station after the race.
